Also known as the Emperor's palace, the castle and city of the Tin Woodman, the Winkie capital.

The capital city of the Winkie country in the West of Oz, ruled by the Tin Woodman (Nick Chopper) as Emperor; the tall domes of his splendid palace rise above clusters of more modest dwellings, and its magnificent silver-hung state rooms serve as the Emperor's seat.

What the story establishes

AppearanceTall palace domes rise above clusters of modest dwellings; within, a splendid ante-room is hung with rich silver-cloth caught into knots and fastened with tiny silver axes, a center-table bears a large engraved silver oil-can, and the walls hold portraits — the Scarecrow's most prominent and a huge painting of the Wizard giving the Tin Woodman his heart.
