What the story establishes
| Acoustics and tone | A din of violence and terror: filled with the beating wings, sharp screams of rage, and jabbering of the enraged Jackdaw flock and the flash and thud of the Tin Woodman's whirling axe, until the birds flee screaming over the mountains and an uneasy quiet returns to the treasure-strewn ledge. |
