What happens

Swept overboard in an ocean storm, Dorothy washes up with the hen Billina in the Land of Ev, where she meets the machine man Tiktok and the enslaved royal family of Ev. Ozma leads an expedition to the underground realm of the Nome King, and after his guessing-game enchantments imperil them all, Billina's cleverness and Dorothy's seizure of the Magic Belt win their freedom.
