Kalidahs

Monstrous forest beasts with bodies like bears and heads like tigers, and claws so long and sharp they could tear a lion in two; fierce and larger than a lion, they live in a dark part of the forest and hunt in a pair that pursues the travelers across a felled-tree bridge.
Appears in 2 chapters, first in chapter 7, last in chapter 17.
