Also known as her castle, the castle of the Wicked Witch, the Yellow Castle.

The castle of the Wicked Witch of the West in the western country of the Winkies; the Witch sits in its doorway to watch her land with her far-seeing eye, and it holds beautiful rooms, a kitchen, a cupboard, and a fenced courtyard-yard where the captive Lion is kept. It is constantly guarded by the yellow Winkies, her slaves.

Appears in 3 chapters, first in chapter 12, last in chapter 14.

What the story establishes

Acoustics and toneTurned from a place of cruel bondage into one of joyful celebration: filled with the feasting and dancing of the freed Winkies, and ringing for days with the hammering, twisting, and pounding of tinsmiths at work.
