Also known as the mail-clad warriors of the Nome King, this terrible army, his warriors, a large number of the warriors, the foremost warriors.

The vast standing army of the Nome King: solid ranks of squat, rock-colored Nome soldiers clad in glittering gem-inlaid steel armor, each wearing an electric light upon the brow; now shown drawn up in full array inside the domed throne hall, rank after rank standing in orderly formation, battle-axes poised as if to strike, yet holding motionless like statues awaiting the King's word of command.
